One blog I frequent, the author just finished a very in-depth paper analyzing google and how it represents itself, and what it means. Some very astute analysis, for example what the "evil" means in Google's motto. Its not what you would think! It is an excellent read, and very fitting for a technological audience.

I have allways bean confliced in how i view google.

Some things they do like GSoC, the free aps, scholariship for disabled students, etc are deftaly a posive force.

Tho they are a company and some of the things they do are questionable, such as logging web searches and other privacy issues, closing adsence acounts with out giving a reasons or a good way to apeal and removing sites from there index.
