I finally found a solution to my problem of not using my laptop jacks while at home...A DOCKING STATION!!!
unfortunately the Dell Studio 17 or 15 (I have the 17)...doesn't have a dedicated docking station port interface like the latitude models....
question:
are there docking stations that Exist that you don't need a dedicated port for....are there ones that can run off of my PCI Express slot....
If anyone finds one (under $200) please let me know |

That's what I need, a docking station! The new thinkpad is nice and all - but having to hook it up to ethernet and sound and a monitor when I get home is kinda annoying - mostly I just use my workstation instead. |
