yet another game by Tom Clancy that looks cool.


so basically HAWX is a jet figherter game set in 2014, looks very realistic, and beautufly rendered. (Ubisoft's newest flight simulation game)

so upon obsessing my self with the game, i downloaded the demo.
after the 1.2 gig download i was eggar to install it.
after another 20 minute wait for it install i was ready to play it...all my homework out of the way...chores done..etc the night was all mine.

ESRB warning...logo... logo...more logos..............and then one of those something is wrong beeps (the program freezes)

so i AlT TAB to my desktop and notice a nice little warning "dump file has been saved to [the folder you installed the game to]"
not too bad, but upon clicking o.k the program closes.

upon re launching HAWX the exact same happens... >:[

mabe getting a bad installer i re downloaded it....same problem.....re downloaded....
this time i was smart...i ran the installer in compatibility mode...same problem...THERE GOES MY WHOLE NIGHT AND ALMOST 4 GIG OF BANDWIDTH

so...yea disappointments...

Yesterday i searched the interwebs for a solution...and it appears that people are having the same problem, and some people are able to play the game and give it a 3 thumbs up. THose people that can play the game experienced some problems...but not to this extent that i am. Then it struck me mabe i missed some driver updates. sure enough..yes...so after spending almost 2 hours getting the updates i re installed the demo and still. STILL it doesn't work. my question is WHAT THE HELL WHY???

anyway..anyone know how or any ideas to get HAWX to work.

How do you know it's not your computer? Remember that time that other game didn't work? lol jk. It sounds like a cool game, but I wouldn't worry about it too much, most of the newer Tom Clancy games have been horrible IMO.

well i have liked them...and i am still looking to fix this

and i have the latest drivers for everything.
also it comes with a utility that checks to see if you have the minimum requirements ...i pass (not surprising i can play crysis on high rez)
