Hi, I'm interested in taking this course when I graduate in two years. My Question is what does this course fall under, is it Computer Science or Software engineer or neither? Also, please give me any other feedback on the course itself.

Considering corses include Visual Basic Programming I and II, HTML/Web Development, and only one math course witch is Introductory Computer Math i am going to go with Low Level Code Monkey.

I don't mean to be negtive, however it looks like this program is about teaching programming langues and technogoglys rather the concecpts witch means it is neither computer science nor software engineering as it lacks theroy.

It seems very job oriented witch might be helpfull if you want to get a low level programming job tho alot of software companys are asking for university graduates thesses days in one of the computer science realted fields.

Thanks for the reply Dan

But if you look past semester one, it has stuff involving COBOL, C++ and Java. But you must be right, I'll check into some diffirent schools but I don't think I have enough money for university.

Yes i saw that too but that's the part of the problem. The clases are on programming langues and not on programming, computer science, math or software engeriner concecpts.

I don't think i have ever had a class at the university level witch had the progamming langue in the title, it is almost allways things like "data structers", "compliers", "object oriented programming", "functional progaming", "algortims", etc. There program also leaves out all math topics almost completly. Alot of topics in math are directly realted to (if not foundation of) computer science topics.

Weather this program would be good for you is largerly dependt on what you want to do for a living. My complant is only that it is not good for computer science or software engerning traning.
