Can anyone recommend me a free Anti-Virus that has regular updates? I'm currently using AVG but I don't think it's that effective. Are there better ones out there?

I use Avast! in Windows. It's free, fast, and apparently finds more viruses than AVG (according to some website I found a long time ago).

For spyware, I recommend using Spybot Search & Destroy. It's very good.
