Trendnet Router help

I bought a wireless router to use with my simpatico modem (which doesn't connect automatically) and all worked fine. After the program Network Magic expired I guess I was on a free trial I could no longer connect to the internet or repair connection issues. I think because the modem needs a user name and password to connect and the way I set it up was thought Network Magic and now it won't work without buying it.

I am pretty sure if I had a modem which was set up to connect automatically then the router would just get the internet signals and share it.

Does anyone know a free program like Network Magic or another way to connect to the internet throught my trendnet router?

Does your router have utility software installed on it? Connect to the network (not internet) and type the router's IP into the address bar of your browser. On linksys routers the IP is 192.168.1.1, but yours may be different. There you may be able to type in the username and password for the modem and the router should connect automatically.

If that doesn't work, you can always google 'trendnet router sympatico modem' and see if other people have the same issue.

Yeah I can access my router settings and when I first installed the router I put my user name and password and it was working until Network Magic's free trial expired. It still has my user name and password it just doesn't connect anymore.

Also I have been looking on google.

EDIT : After uninstalling Network Magic and re installing the router it worked. For some reason it disconects when going to microsoft sites, like hotmail.com.
