Hello everyone,

For a small taste of the new powers that will be implemented with REBOL/3:
http://www.rebol.net/wiki/Parse_Project

This may be of particular interest to developers that care about efficient parsing more than others, but I recommend everyone give the page a read, just because.

There is still a very restricted list of fortunates on the R3 GUI alpha test team, but there is a Core alpha version released for testing and there will be some wicked cool enhancements coming in the not too distant future. When the R3 linkable library is published I'll probably post news on my efforts to embed this awesome engine in the OpenCOBOL system. Side note: OpenCOBOL 1.1 now passes over 9000 of the NIST COBOL-85 Standard Test Suite tests, and that's a pretty big deal, in my old guy opinion.

If you haven't tried REBOL yet, well, http://rebol.com and click on the 2.7.6 download button.

Cheers
