Hello everyone.
I am Giancarlo Niccolai, the author of the Falcon Programming Language. I've been leaded here by some backlinks, and I see there is people interested in our work here.
We're going through a major explosion of the codebase and we're working at very important modules, as the QT/KDE binding, the GTK interface. We'll soon be starting 0.9 version, which is aimed to optimization and speedup of the various elements of the language.
I am currently traveling the net in search of people willing to undergo this enterprise. If you think the current languages are missing something, or that they are not developing in the right direction, or if you're searching a more holistic approach to programming, taking into account different paradigms and viewpoints, then you can make the difference participating in our project.
If you want to know more about Falcon, see http://www.falconpl.org/index.ftd?page_id=facts. You may drop us a line via the site contacts area, or you can reply me here.
Best regards and TIA for your attention. |

Anyone wondering "Why Falcon and what does it do better?", this ComputerWorld interview with Giancarlo may give you a feel of what the design philosophy and reason for being behind Falcon is.

In my humble opinion, jonnymind is well on his way to meeting and exceeding the performance goals for this worthy little engine.
Plus it's feature list grows nicely as it approaches 1.0, but now I'm just fawning...
