Where should I apply?

Hey. What are some reputable schools for co-op Computer Science besides Waterloo? I'm applying to Waterloo, but I need some other options as well. University of Toronto Scarborough has a co-op program for Computer Science. Does anyone go there or have any information about their co-op?
I'm not sure what I should choose for 'Subject of Major Interest' in the OUAC application. Waterloo offers BCS or BMATH. I'm assuming BCS will involve less math? UofT Scarborough offers Computer Sci joint Mathematics, joint Physics or joint Statistics, or Information Systems or Software Engineering. A sixth option is 'Computer Sci - Comprehensive'. If I want to focus mainly on Computer Science, I should go with the comprehensive? I can't find any information on these choices, could someone point me in the right direction?
Are three program choices enough? Waterloo, UofT Scarborough, and a third option, maybe Ryerson? Should I visit the campuses of all three of these universities?
Right now I'm in grade 12. should I take chemistry next semester and open up options for courses like software and computer engineering? Or should I take a spare, which might help boost my overall mark. Next semester I will have calculus and advanced functions, so it will be a hard semester. I'm taking physics now, but it looks like it will be pointless without also taking chemistry.
Any advice would be great, thanks! |

There's also UTSG/Mcmaster.
UofT, all campuses, have PEY, 12-16 month internships, which you can take in 2nd and 3rd year.
I've heard BMATH is for math geniuses.
Which stream?

Sure, go visit them.
Decide what you want to do now, software, comp eng, or compsci. |

i've applied for waterloo cs, carlton cs, and wilfred laurier cs and econ. carleton is my backup for cs because they have a reputable program with good co op. I only applied for laurier for economics if i decide to do that instead.
i applied for BMath at waterloo, would this decrease my chance of acceptance if i'm around the cutoff and applying for bmath instead of bsc? |

Just out of curiosity, what's western's co-op program like? And their CS program in general. |

Which stream for carleton cs? I'm looking at either game development, software engineering, or software and computing. |

Ok, I applied to Waterloo, UofT St. George and Scarborough, Carleton and McMaster for Computer Science. Some of these require a grade 12 chemistry, so I guess I have to take it next semester.
Does McGill have a good comp sci program? I might also apply there. |

I go to school with a guy who went to mcgill for his masters (he's now doing phd at guelph and publishing like crazy) and he has nothing but good things to say about it. In general I think McGill is a pretty good school, but other than my classmate I haven't heard much about their CS. |

Definitely, especially before accepting any offer. Most of the campuses you applied to are quite different in terms of 'feel', at least in my opinion. You might find it a lot easier to choose between them after getting a first impression, especially given relatively equal academic programs. |
