So... here I am looking to reformat my laptop, but wouldn't you know it, I don't have a driver disk (in fact, it got destroyed a few months ago, ergo, I need a new disk with drivers). My only problem is, MDG doesn't (to my knowledge) have a page with old products and their specs on them so I can't manually search for them myself. I've tried googling the model number even to see if anything came up, and the closest thing I've come up with is a dead link to Intel. So I'm looking to everyone else here, to see if maybe someone could come forward with some lovely XP drivers, or at least a better turn out to where some actual names to the products inside of this thing are. As a side note, I'm not actually on XP right now, so I can't even go into the drivers folder and steal them from there.

EDIT: Note that the model number of the laptop is MS-1034

Perhaps you could ask technical support to send you another disk?

Do you have a linux boot cd? Boot that and run lspci to get a list of all your hardware. lspci -v will give more info... more v's more detail.

That might help with figuring out what drivers you need.

MDG uses cheap obscure parts from cheap obscure manufacturers. A couple years ago I searched for a set of motherboard drivers from them and came up with bupkiss. I had to go into their service depot, and the guy wanted me to bring it in (for $120/hr service, as the warranty had been voided by installing a third party program on the system). I eventually shouted him into giving me the MoBo drivers on a disc. their service department (sleazy though it may be) is probably your best bet.

Also, if you have an invoice from when you bought it, it should have a parts list included.
