The Ottawa Canada Linux User Group will be meeting at Algonquin on Woodroffe (room not yet determined, will be posted to http://oclug.on.ca before the 2nd). I'll try and remember to edit or reply as to the coordinates when I find out, but the web page is always the best bet.

Discussions will include an introduction to OpenCOBOL (speaker /me) and Python's Django application framework.

I plan on going over; writing a FAQ and introducing the wonders of COBOL through OpenCOBOL, wrappers for IPC Message Queues, interfacing to libCURL, CGI, and sending scripts to gnuplot.

If you happen to be in town, the meetings usually start at 7pm ...

Cheers,
Brian

Hmmm... when I saw you talking about "OCLUG" I thought for sure it was going to be "Old Computer Language Users Group."

I just might stop by; what with having class that day and all.

wtd; Smile
md; That would be cool. At the August meeting, a gentlemen was there discussing a new scholarship program involving funding of Open Source during the study. Weekends and/or evenings as they expect students to be working as well.

Everyone else; Can't beat a room full of like minded nerds, geeks, geeknerds, nerdgeeks and sprinkled with a few cool people (not me, I find technology too exciting to be cool in a crowd).

Cheers
Clayton

If I can find a way out there, and I'm not busy with something else that day, I might attend... possibly.
