Hi,

I know I may be in breach of "don't post birthday messages", but I promise not to make this type of post for at least another 5 years. Smile

Anyway. "Woohoo!" and "Man ... we're old!"

Cheers

Yep, congrats. See kiddies? Thats what you have to look forward to: being like btiffin. So, be forewarned! (Just kidding. In all honesty, good job man. I imagine your life is better with her, than without?)

Congratualations. My girlfriend & I are taking another big step in our relationship. We've been together for over 4 years and really close, and we know we're getting married eventually, but knowing something's going to happen and taking a large step towards it together is a lot different.

How much has your wife's nerdness increased in 20 years, b?

Good story that. Joh went from no-tech, to what I'd call low-tech. Plays video games; we are Nintendo freeks, (She beat the Mario from Japan that originally Nintendo thought might be too frustrating for North Americans), uses office apps but that is about it.

When we were planning our wedding (ok, when she was planning our wedding), I showed her how to use an old DOS program, PC/Write to keep the guest list. I got a call at work and she was quite upset. The file was gone. She swore she'd never touch another machine - like evaa. Thats when I showed her Nintendo. That broke the ice again.

Short answer; no Joh never really caught any geek disease. And now, the video games are limited to watching and helping the 5 year old play Animal Crossing. I'm thinking that Mario isn't quite cruel enough for 5 year old girls, so I'm thinking Res Evil 4 is next. Smile

Cheers

Smile And yes, absolutely. Never bored, never lonely. We are different enough to have our own spaces ... plus she helps paint my Warhammer figs. Hates the game, but likes to paint (or pretends to like to paint as I love the game). Same with me and her interests. I know far more about flowers and retail window display technology than I'd care to admit.

And no worries gents, with or without mates I expect you'll all grow up to become crusty old nutters anyway. So keep on codin' on.

Cheers

Love the tunes, but some wicked sadness, Jerry Garcia died in 1995. No more come watch the Fat Man play.

goin' on 17 years living, struggling to grow a bit of peach fuzz Razz.

20 years? Don't you get a letter or something from some important person by this anniversary? I know at 100 (?)years married you get a letter from the queen (I would be VERY surprised to see that, most people don't even live that long, and they'd have to be married at birth!)
