Java error - Help needed!

Hello everyone!

Now, I know most of you are quite the programmers in Java, etc. Well, i'm not sure if this really relates to that section of the topic, although I do need some help!
I've recently been playing a pretty awesome pool game on TruGamer. An internet site, and most of the games, java is required. So I have installed Java from Sun Microsystems, but I seem to get an common error. When I try to login to the game, red X's appear and it says something along the lines of "Java applet failed to load".

I find this very weird because when I got home it was working, then little later when I went to log in it did the same thing. Now, I know it is not a problem with the actual server it self as some buddies of mine are logged in, and it's all up and running for them. It is just weird because sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. I've tried everything from uninstalling and reinstalling Java. I've also done a system restore and brought my computer to a previous date, when the game was working, for example. I've also cleared that Java and Internet Explorer caches, history, etc. I do not have any firewalls or virus protection or any of that stuff running which may block the game.

I find it very strange, but I here it is a common error!

So, i'm asking for a few tips and pointers on how to fix this problem, or possible someone who is really experianced to run Remote assistance with me via MSN Messenger. (Let me know if you would like to do this).
All in all, i'd like to solve this problem to get back to my gaming. All help and support would be greatly apreciated!

depending on your web browser, you might want to set Jave(script?) runtime enabled. most likely to be found in settings/options
other than that... no idea...

You need Java Runtime Environment
You need Java applet plugin for your browser (which might or might not be the same thing as the former)
You need to make sure that the latter is enabled.

Sounds good, only problem...

Could you tell me how to follow these tips step by step, very clearly?

Would be very apreciated, I do not know how to do any of this, I am new to the whole Java bit. Thanks.

go here and check if you have java installed
and now if you have it installed
what internet browser you are using; if you are using IE goto tools -> internet options -> advanced ->scroll down till you see Java sun and check all the check marks
if you are using firefox, go to tools -> options -> content and check the all check mark related to Java or if you are using some other version of firefox just find it somewhere....

You have the recommended Java installed (Version 6 Update 3).

Well, yes it is installed. I've checked there before on Java.com. I have Java installed, game just fails to load for some reason. It's odd because it worked before.

Okay, next step?
