So I'm a little bit bored tonight, so I thought I'd check out my Facebook account (with only a couple days of leaving it alone). I thought I'd share my lovely opening screen:
Just wondering if anyone else thinks this is getting absolutely ridiculous? Ever since Facebook has allowed all of these stupid little things to exist, Facebook was a fun way to communicate. Now however, it's just a nightmare from hell. |

It really wasn't so bad when there was only a couple of those stupid apps, but when all the invites get to be the entire length of the news feed... there's an issue. |

And Thusly I too have decided I hate facebook. The worst thing is apps that are related to a holiday... and yet stick around well after said holiday has passed. |

I have yet to join facebook. My friends keep telling me to, but I don't -- they tell me I'm stubburn and if I'm not careful, I'll be seen as someone that can't let go of the past, a 20-year old- geaser. |

The problem with social networking is people.
That may sound anti-social, but it isn't really meant to be. These kinds of things, Digg for example, start out great. "Hey, a news site with articles people like me are interested in? That's great, I'll tell my friends." Except after a while, dumbasses get into it and invite all of their friends and you end up with crappy content and crappy discussions.
I don't know much about coder profile, but I can imagine something similar happening over there. Professional coders would probably be better off networking through other means (personal contacts, conventions, whatever). |

hmmm that sounds like a reasonable argument and the thing with coder profile that makes it so great is the code pinning i love it as it allows me to password my source yet allow me to edit my code no matter what computer im on but after the community grows that will most likely be the only thing i use |

I still remember Facebook when it was post-secondary students only. Those were the days... |
