You're a convict? Why would you want us to know something like that?

18 MB is quite large... perhaps make a "light" version for those who wish to simply try out your program? Smile

will do, but that mean cutting the music so you will have to add your own.
Note you don't have to change any code to put in your own music the program will look for it automatically.

Tried making a repack making the music files empty txt files. Didn't work so well and either lagged, or went way to fast.

The game however is nice till you realize the feal of it is really bad. It looks to be well coded, it's just it toook a few minutes to realize what the hell was going on. And an entire game to realize that I'm just a big circle. I'm sure if you'd found perfect mecha sprites, you'd have replaced them with that. However I still thing you could done more than just a big black circle. The game's setting is weird too. Is it taking place on earth where there is gravity? or in space. You've got expirience with images so you could at least try for a background. Also, there isn't much scrolling aspects other than the AI being on screen. Also I'm not even sure if whenn I go to far one way, it warps me to the other side...or if it's just spazing.

Oh yeah, I forgot this was incomplete. Oh well, there ya go.

Thank you for you contribution to this game and I must add that I am in college so the production of this game may become much slower but I plan on fixing the missile system and adding a mech picture as well as a back ground but if anyone is willing to submit a background image then i will be happy to accept it and you will get your name in the credits.

Online play is now strictly out of the question and I'm going to cut down on the menus and get rid of that overflow error that occurs if it sits for too long.

Here is proto-tank lite just add your own music files to the "game music" directory and a music file in "game music\menu" directory

Right I'm back and am going to be giving the game a complete re-hall as the game is not quit meeting up to standards and I will include a file going through the entire process of making the game so till.

I rather like the concept, but the graphics could use a bit of an overhaul. I'd love to join in and collaborate if I wasn't busy in my own massive project. You can however look up my old GUI submission made in Turing for a better GUI interface. If you want the more updated features that were not posted (since I moved the project as a whole to a new programming language, Python) just PM me.

I also noticed that it was slow when I ran it from code, but moved fine whence I compiled it and ran the executable.
Hope to see an updated version sometime soon.

Okay I know its been a while since my last update and to be honest I'm surprised that I didn't give the game with the updated HUD but do not worry that has been fixed and there are a few new surprises for any one still fallowing this thread. Unfortunately I am still having issues making this an .exe for reasons which currently escape me so for any of you that have been able to compile the code into an .exe the sharing of this knowledge would by much appreciated. (Currently using Turing 4.1.1 right now)

Improvements:
-Melee function works
-Opponents can be stunned
-Landings and Platforms have been introduced
-A new graphical HUD was implemented

And to address the problem of the lack of visual appeal yes this problem will be salved eventually but that's not right now. This game is still in the prototype stages and I would like to work out all of the kinks before I start making it look good. All most forgot in order to run this game the "Main Menu.t" file must be compiled.
