This email is to announce RailsNite Waterloo, to be held Monday, Nov
12, 6pm-9pm, location still TBA - we're still looking for somewhere
close to UW, with good, inexpensive food, wireless, reasonably quiet,
and with some space. Suggestions would be appreciated!
Ruby on Rails is a powerful and easy-to-use Web development
framework, based on the Ruby programming language. It's being widely
used by web startups, including Twitter, 37 Signals (Basecamp), and
43 Things.
RailsNite Waterloo is an opportunity for people interested in Rails
to meet, share knowledge, and ask questions. The format will be
informal, and mostly oriented towards meeting people and discussion.
Everyone is encouraged to attend, from those who are simply
interested in Rails through to experienced developers.
We'll have one or more short presentations during the evening.
Please email one or both of us if you're interested in presenting.
Note that when we announced this at StartupCamp, we announced a date
of Nov 5. That's a bit too close to several other events, and so
we've moved it to Nov 12.
Please RSVP by Nov 11 if you're attending. Please also pass this
message onto other people who might be interested in attending.
Hope to see you there!
Ilya Grigorik and Michael Nielsen (Organizers)
