The ultimate aspect dilemma. Playing a fullscreen res only game on a widescreen monitor. Can make any gaming experience roughly worth the excrutiating exrcetion after a spicy burrito. Is there such a program in place to crop the viewing area and keep the ratio sensible?
Damn fullscreen only developers to hell!
DAMN YOU!!!!!! |

Install Linux, get Cedega, configure it to run in a window.
Aside from that, I would think most modern games support widescreen resolutions. |

You can change your resolution to normal aspect ratio, and have a reverse-letter box thing going on. |

There should be an option in your display drivers whether to stretch or maintain aspect ratio. Look around in the ATI or nVidia control panel. |

I believe you can adjust it on the "Settings" tab in Display Settings |
