select cell with right click

I have a table and i found a sample code from java website that adds a popup menu when you right click on a specific item (in my case, i made it a three column table). The final idea is for a user to right click on any row of the table, and choose the remove row option, well, my problem is that when a user right clicks, the table row is not selected under the mouse pointer, which throws the rest of the code off. The solution to this problem is for the user first to left click on the desired table row, and then right click , but i am looking for a way of combining the two operations together under one right click (like you right click in excell spreadsheet).
