So i know that in general, you can't upgrade a video card in a notebook. However, I have heard that in some dells, it can be done. I purchased a dell e1505 with c2d t7200 and 2 gb ram recently and I'm interested in upgrading the ati x1400 thats in my system. Anyone know more about this topic? |

Google does . What more do you want to know? If theres a warranty that might be void by opening up your laptop, and its a pretty new one, i'd suggest waiting until that warranty is up before cracking the case. Plus, do you know if you can even buy notebook videocards from a retailer? these are all things you'll have to consider. |

i realise that i will void my warranty by cracking it open. I was curious so that i may do so in the future. I also tried good, it didn't give me anything useful on the first page. I'm looking for info thats a wee more specific |

if by good you mean Google, then try the second page! There is no guarantee that the information you are looking for is on the first page... |
