Well there's one easy way to find more search engines, use the ones you know and search for web search engines. as for how good they are you could read some reviews about them if you wanted to or try them out. |

I don't really like the live search engine, there aren't as many search results as one of the larger mainstream search angines such as google. |

Well... if Google and Yahoo are the biggest and have been around for longer then any other ones, why do you want to know other search engines?
Also, www.ask.com or Ask Jeeves is one... they are okay. I used to use it all the time but Google is just, well, greater. |

Who knows why he needs to know, maybe he just want to get away from all the large corporations. Anyways another pretty good search engine is AltaVista which isn't that bad. |

Ask Jeeves is powered by Google; they *should* return the same results. |

As far as specialized search engines go, Google Code Search looks pretty exciting, although I admittedly haven't played with it in depth. |

Noone will have more pages indexed than Google, seeing as Google has what is an equivalent of "infinite" resources.
That being said, most "other" engines just try to reorder Google's or Yahoo's results via something other than the PageRank score. Seeing as how Google has this elite team of Engineers on staff, I don't see how anyone can outperform.
Unless it's some very specialized niche topic.. maybe |

I have to ask, is nobody the least bit curious as to why someone joins the forum to ask about search engines and has a list of links to MMORPGs in his signature? |
