I downloaded the program CPU-Z in order to check the make and model of my motherboard. Apparantly, it does more than that. It also checks my memory, cpu status, cpu statistics, cashe info, exe.
What mostly caught my eye was the memory. I know from the program that my motherboard can support memory up to 2 GB, running at 400Mhz. I know that the higher the "Mhz", the faster the RAM. But there are also other tings taht are jsut gibbirish to me...
A little help?

plz don't flame me for double posting but sence this post has been up for one whole day without any reply, mabey i should make my question clearer...
1) what is "latency" and what does it do?
2)Apparantly the RAM is set to 133Mhz, so would setting it to 200 make my computer run better, or would the other factors just bog it down?
again, my little plea... a little help guys?

It will make your RAM run faster. Thought not nessessary improve the overall performance if the bottleneck is elsewhere (most usually it's the harddrive, those things are _SLOW_).
Ether way, before overclocking anything, overheating should be considered, and appropriate cooling methods implemented.

| Overheating precautions should be taken care of before you do anything to your computer. Usually it is always said that if it looks like your cooling system is overkill for your PC then it should handle a moderate amount of modding. If you're going to do some overclocking I suggest getting cooling components from here: http://www.ncix.com/ Also it probably took a while for anyone to replay because you could have googled any of the terms or questions you were asking.
