Can I Start a Role Playing "Game" Here?

If any of you guys know what I'm talking about, then good. If you don't you jump into the storyline and post as a character you made up in a story created by the first poster. Then you go on adventures and crap as you character. It's a bit like DND, except the only rule is that you can't kill any main characters without their permission.

So, would I be allow to start one of these, admins?

Though not an admin, I would have nothing against this, as long as it stays confined to a single thread in this forum, private messages, or communication off the forum.

Honestly, from my experience, I suggest either conducting it via e-mail (Play by E-mail) or setting up an NNTP server.

Err... If you don't mind my asking... What exactly is the point of "RPG threads"? I've always just brushed it off when I noticed these, thinking "Crazy weirdos with nothing better to do, pfft." Is there something I'm missing?

King Vermithus orderd me to travel the barrens, seeking the most rare plant, capable of healing and blessing powers unimaginable.

Badits are on the hunt, and as the most loyal, and deadly one man army, i was honored with such a task...

I, Hacker Dan, looking out my window see TokenHerbz skiping down the street yelling somthing about being Xursian and stabing the air with a plastic dager. Cleary he is high on the "herbz" his name speaks of. Then md comes up to him with a baseball bat and beats TokenHerbz to the gorund. Md then retries to the the faithfull bar. I close the blinds on the window and go on with my day.
