PostPosted: Fri Oct 06, 2006 5:51 am   Post subject: Virus's

I ran a scan, and came up with 11 eneries (all in same spot)

My anti virus then stalls, and quits when attempting to remove them.

i get error's trying to delete, open, the file they exist in.

Help would be nice...

Try booting into safe mode. You need to press F8 on boot in order to get into the boot menu. Select "Safe Mode" and press enter.

Now, try running the tools. Winders cares even less about your files in safe mode, so you shouldn't have a problem deleting the files in question.

Serveral problems are present:

1) my scanns are unable to complete... thus means my anti virus programs (tryed 4) stall, and i can not touch the files.

2) I can not use System Restore. iv'e tryed multiple times at different dates, all incomplete for some odd reason.

3) I can not open up folders without getting an "explorer.exe" error, and haveing them ceash.

4) I have found multiple virus's and trogians in my Registry, music file, system32 folders, and window's locations. totalling estimated virus's found (30).

I could really use help, as ever hour i feel my computer lagging more, and having more malfunctions.

Ok, Iv'e made some progress,

i went into safe mode, and got a system restore off, and then ran scans after.

My computer works better, but it still infected up to its ass with virus's.

Anyways, i tryed to repair a file in the WINDOWS folder, and it said it couldn't repair it. Now, i selected Move to Vault, and it said, Are you sure? This is in the WINDOWS folder.

Umm, so i said no, and cancles the actions.

How serious is this? is it safe to move things from the windows folder, etC:

i dont want to screw over my comp, but i dont want virus's either.

any ideas??

Seriously, reinstalling is your best bet; it takes less time then figuring it out. Then all you need to do is be more careful next time, keeping your computer free of virii and adaware is pretty easy if you are just a little bit careful Wink
