one of my colleague's linux box is getting a bunch of Segmentation Fault errors when I do stuff like 'ls' so i thought that was pretty funny. But check this out: http://www.crisscross.com/jp/forum/Worlds_worst_hacker%25_IRC_t%20ranscript/m_422436/tm.htm

well first of all its hard to find a 'hacking' tool that lets you enter an IP address and then reboot the target machine and format hardrives. and secondly its not possible to format C drive if you are using it to the point of crashing your OS. whats YTMND

Doing that is pretty easy with a backdoor program, although then there is the matter of getting it on the computer of choice in the first place. Anyway, I was talking about general 'hacking' sites (ie. cracking, game hacks, etc), not neccessarily one for formatting a hard drive based on an IP.

Oh, YTMND is just ytmnd.com, though I've never been there myself. Razz

Not so! rm -rf / works quite well at removing everything while at teh same time not stopping itself. It is quite possible to destroy a windows partition in the same manner... though windows won't actualy remove everything.
