Okay, I've run into a rather large problem. I made a client for a game, and it uses winsocks, inets, and a few other controls.
The problem is, when I send the program to my friends, they always get some sort of error like "file is missing or invalid"
My question: How could I make a program to install those files for them? |

There should be an Application Setup Wizard that comes with the copy of VB. You can use that to make a setup program that will install any files need for your program to run properly. I've never used the setup wizard so I don't know exactly what you'll have to do. I'm sure there are many tutorials on the web of how to do this. If I find any I'll give you a link. |

I've tried to look for this on my VB and I can't find it. I got mine from the school and the school doesn't have it either. How can I get this? |

The school may not have installed that feture into their systems. As for not having it on your copy at home you may not have choose that feture when you were installing VB. You should ask your school for the instalation disk unless they made a copy of the disk for you and reinstall VB and make sure you have the application setup wizard option selected. |

Better yet, just tell your friends to download the vb runtime files depending on what version of vb you're using (5? 6? higher?).
Just go to the microsoft website and search for them. |
