i havent installed ubuntu yet and my logitech serial mouse wont work on ubuntu... HELP please

only 1 serial port on machine

tryed the ubuntu site already..... first command in console didnt work... second 1 did but still no luck in recognizing mouse

HELP PLEASEEEEE

I'm afraid that didn't make any sense whatsoever.

You say you haven't installed ubuntu yet, but you're having all sorts of problems with it. I suspect what you're saying is that you tried it out with the LiveCD and it didn't auto detect your mouse.

You also say you tried looking at the www.ubuntuforums.org, eh? How does that relate to using the "first command in console" and "second 1". Furthermore, what is the "first [and second] command in console"?

Also, your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file is sort of a prerequisite for us to be able to give any help at all with this.

Minsc is right though, ubuntuforums.org is the right place for this anyway.
