Here's a demo of a rpg that will play like zelda. So far you can move and jump. No current graphics are mine and I'm not using the black mage as my character. I want to have 100% original graphics. If someone would like to help me with character design or world design plz post or pm. I would also like help with map making if possable.

Very nice use of the tile system consecpt and muptipal keyborad inputs. Also i like how you used one the rpg maker sets as they where and used turing to manpulate them.
Any chance we will get to see the code in the futtuer. I am shure alot of peoleop are intrested. *points at upthescale*

Quite a nice start to an RPG, hope you are organizing your code properly so you'll be able to complete it. Good job on implementing the sprite sheets and the shadow, good graphics (for Turing) too. Some other pretty nifty things as well.
Only one problem, you know how you blocked the character from moving off the screen? What happens when you move off the screen by jumping?

Now I'm not going to put out a newer version untill i get a few more things working.
As for walking off the side or anything, I've now implimented a new property for a tile. They can now be "jumpable" aswell as "passable", therfore if something is jumpable but not passable, you can jump over it, but if its not passable, you cannot jump through it. I have made a new tile for this property (trees) and surrounded them around a map.
Another new feature is moving from map to map by walking off the side of the map where there are no trees.
I've also added a small "wind resistance" so your speed slowly falls when jumping, and the sprite changes frames according to speed.
One final addition is only to be jumping with the speed moving at, so when you are up against the water and press jump, you no longer fly across with full speed from nowhere.
Future plans are:
Weapon, armor, and stat systems
Enemies
Attacking with collision
more tiles (houses, trees)
original character

Well, good luck on your next release, look forward to seeing what you can do.

Yep, I noticed this before, but I wasn't sure if it was just me going crazy or something like that. Anyway, nice little extra feature.

Wow, this is insanely good.
I like how the character moves. It's such a smooth motion.
I'm also planning on making an RPG (They seem to be popular among Turing users), but I know it won't be anywhere near as good as this.

How did you get such a good collision detection system for the water?
Cool game.
