Maby thisone will have a plot unlike farcry.
Anyway to play this your going to need a ball smashingly good computer or if you get it on a console your going to need a 4.5 thousand dollar hd tv to not have it in 600x400 resolution which would ruin the realism. |

Crysis. (The company's name is Crytech - so a bit of word play there).
I just started playing FarCry about a month ago after a systems upgrade let me do so. It's a fantastic game. Great graphics & sound, AI is quite intelligent, gameplay is actually challenging on hard mode, and the gameplay itself is intense and non-repetitive.
The one thing that's striking me is the really bad quality of the character & voice acting. They almost certainly did that work in-house. I hope Crysis does a better job at it - although I'm not impressed that one will need either Vista or a 360 to play it. |

They went overboard with the glow on the building.
Agreed, on the grass thing. If you look at the patch on the right it looks like a tiny radioactive evergreen forest. Must be the source of power for the glowing planks of wood. Finally, OLEDs in action! |

that game is amazing. i saw the gameplay trailer and the crytech CEO's interview in school a few weeks back. If anyone has played F.E.A.R, this games physics engine and graphics work the same way, i dont know if they made a custom engine or modified the one they used in farcry, but this game definately is the best so far in graphics and physics. It also has the ambient lighting feature like F.E.A.R has. Here is a link of all the videos they have released so far. Hope u guys enjoy it . But also one setback for this game is that u will need a REALLY good graphics card to run it. Some people dont have enough money to buy a 7800 or higher or even a radeon x850 xt, but i think it will probably run on a 6800 and higher. |

Yeah, my only problem with this game is that it needs DirectX 10.
The grass is obviously unfinished since the grass in FarCry was better than that. As for the glow on the building, I remember that in the original FarCry they had a feature where if you looked in the sun for too long, or at a really bright spot, everything else would become darker. Or if you stayed in the dark too long and went into a really bright area you would get glare and stuff would look a bit like that building. It might be that or something else.

I'm pretty sure it goes something like this: You're fighting some monsters as well as Korean soldiers since they have also come to investigate. |

That would be HDR. |

Yup. It's a great feature if you're looking for more realism or just something to consume more of that excessive CPU/GPU power. ![Wink Wink](http://compsci.ca/v3/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |
