Here's my english project for Lord of the Flies. There are some collision detection issues. Tell me what you think.

um not bad, however there are a couple of issues. either you move to slow, or the boulders fall too fast (change whichever you like), also, you should have some sort of procedure or fcn that returns the distance between boulders ensuring that it is possible to make it through in some way, not bad though

I made him slow because he is fat and has asthma. And it is not supposed to be possible to win.

lol that fatty fat piggy lol
i am guessing from that last post that piggy does not survive the book?
hes the smart one
you really should make it easier in my opinion i can only last a few seconds. You could have levels that go to infinity but there would be no way to beat it.
you could also have a score counter too.. like score:= score +boulder, etc...
gj though

OOP = Object Oriented Programming
Very nice game do_pete, well presented. Only thing is that the actual game lasts extremely short, so you could extend that by a bit. Also, yes, a score counter would give a little more purpose to the game (other than the inevitable death).
Good job! Excellent "boulder engine".

what i meant by "winning" (because yes, piggy has an inevitable death) is that at any point, you can make your way through the boulders, so you could start the game out with fewer boulders, but progressivley (sp.*) add more the further on you get

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll make a new version in which you can "win."

Your mouse clicks are a little laggy. Did I say a little? I meant a lot...at least on my comp!
Anyhow, I definitely liked it. We need more games that are blatantly set up to make us lose! Go go failure encouragement! Raar!
...
Yes, uh, I was very impressed by your fade-in and fade-out's. I've not seen that done before on such a, uh, colourful scale. I may actually have to reinvest some time in Turing to figure out how you did that...yes, very good, very good.
+ bits, and a prayer for Piggy.

good game, the background pic kind of seemed out of place and as stated earlier you either move to slow or boulders fall to fast other than that, good job
