Anyways...in my grade 12 compsci class, it's almost time for final projects to start. I've been thinking of making an Advance Wars type game (um...turn based/strategy) I'm assuming that I probably won't be able to incorporate most of the elements involved (i.e. AI), but I'm just wondering if it's a viable final project idea.

P.S...we are working with java right now.
P.S...It is a game for gameboy advance

I don't see why it wouldn't be viable.

You can have your unit types and terrain features as classes (which I'm sure your teacher would be looking for). Graphics, etc. wouldn't be too hard, since you can limit the number of sprites you use until you've really fleshed out the program. (ie - you can start with 1 terrain and 1 unit type each).

The AI *would* be fairly complicated, but you could do a 2-player version.

I'm pretty sure i'll only be able to incorporate a few different types of units, i think i won't be able to have time to add sea/air units.
