hey guys. i was just wondering if anyone knows that whether freebsd can be used for programing or not. like for example in fedora u can install gcc using yum installer is it the same with unix too?. thanx |

Honestly, I'd be really surprised if it isn't already there. Have you tried opening a Terminal and typing "which gcc"? |

nope sorry bro i havnt even installed it yet. thats y i was wondering if its even on there cause im mainly using linux/unix for programing |

Any operating system can be used for programming (within reason...). No major modern operating system except windows ships without either having a compiler; or there being a very easy way to get one. |
