|
|
I've got a wire'ess router/ hub, and everything was fine until dad tried to set up a vpn. Now when I type 192.168.1.1 to log in to the router nothing happens for a second, and then a window comes up to connect to the vpn instead of the router.
any ideas?
EDIT: LAN and internet functions are still normal though. |

I clicked in the wireless connection thing in the tray, and I got the same default gateway. The local Ips for the computers are 192.168.1.106 and 192.168.105, which is what they were before this crap.
If I can still connect to the internet, how could the router's ip have changed though? |

Why not talk to your dad? Does he know how to configure the VPN to use a different IP? |

You could try resetting the router and see if it auto resolves the issue.
You could try accessing your router the roundabout way by checking your external IP with a local whois tool or a whatismyIP website. |

do you mean if the comp is wired to the router? that doesnt work either.
pinging default gateway, the other computer and this one all result in timeout.
I don't really want to reset it unless I have to, would this trash the VPN though? |
