I am writing a program to create cards with suits. I do not want to create read pictures or print the words of each suit to screen. Is there special symbols I can enter into java to print the actual symbol for each suit?

Yeah, try using ♠ ♣ ♥ ♦. I know there is a way of entering the exact code (if just copying the symbols in doesn't work), but I forget how.
