Check if you get an "ideal technology" popup when going to this link:
http://www.compsci.ca/v2/viewtopic.php?p=70709

I checked the source for that page, and under benQ's name there is an image:
code:
<img src="http://www.idealtec.net/tep22/catalog/images/logo-benq.jpg" alt="" border="0" />

For his avatar, which doesn't show up. The image leads to a login screen required to access it. Things like this shouldn't be able to affect how you view this site, and it can possibly lead to more serious popup problems. Hope it's fairly easy to fix/prevent Smile.

Note: Using Firefox 1.5

Well it could be a problem if they start linking to php scripts on our own server but on other servers the worst they could realy do is maybe make the page chage from our site to another. This whould only be a big problem if a long time user did it with lots of post but then it whould be easy to fix by an admin. I have delted this users avatar for now.

[h4x]There's always the IE crash sig. Put any pic with height and width attributes set to an obscenely large number, in the signature. IE will crash when it runs out of memory soon after.[/h4x]

I'm not sure if the other browsers handle that differently.

It should be still in place, but is still posable if u think about it, tho this should be fixed in newer verson. As to codemages hack, i maybe able to do somthing about it in the next verson but it whould not be a big issue to inforce "nice" sigs/pics on a user by user basises.
