Okay, for work to show of my skills I'm making a quick and dirty JSF/SQL database manager to manage employees and departments. (you can add and search for employees and departments, pretty straightforward).
Anyway, as far as the UI goes, I need some ideas for cool features. Here's what it looks like right now (html only, sorry, I'm not allowed to post my real code).

Any suggestions though? Now, the department text inputs are automatically filled with the actual departments, and the employee number is also automatically generated.
I'm thinking of adding AND checkboxes in the search thing, but yeah, that's all I've got so far.
