I'm not sure if you guys know about Panda3D, but it is a freely distributed 3D library for Python.

Now, my problem here is that I want to use this for a project, but for some reason (the way it was compiled/distributed or something of the sort) does not allow it to be imported into your IDE of choice like other libaries. How would I go about installing it for use with an IDE I'd prefer (rather than the DOS python that comes with it) such as IDLE?
That being said, what do you guys think is a good IDE, or does it really matter?

Thanks if you can help.

Sorry Sniper, I've never heard of it before and I am unable to get it. (Linux is still quite new to me)
