Although the PHP manual has great documentation of functions and language concepts, I wouldn't exactly recommend it for somebody to learn the language from the start. Maybe you'll have good luck with it though. |

If you want to learn php go with the people who set the standards http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp. They set the standards so they know the best way to do it.
