Not really much of a game, but it's not spam either. It's soposed to be what happens when an NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) is broken or there is no game in it. It's just to have a small laugh if you're a long-time NES owner. THIS IS NOT SPAM! Enjoy!

Oh, and here's the source code:

setscreen ("grpahics")
var colourr : int
loop
randint (colourr, 0, 150)
colourback (colourr)
cls
play ("1D-")
delay (50)
play ("16D-")
colourback (black)
cls
delay (725)
end loop

The Extension 'exe' was deactivated by an board admin, therefore this Attachment is not displayed.

First off, if you have to say that the post isn't spam, it probably is. Secondly, if you're posting source code do so here: http://www.compsci.ca/v2/viewforum.php?f=48
Quote:
Turing Source Code
User submitted Turing source code.

Third: If you're posting a compiled program do so here: http://www.compsci.ca/v2/viewforum.php?f=13
Quote:
Turing Applications
Compiled user submitted programs created in Turing.

Fourth: Please try to compress your files before posting them, I'm really not sure how you managed to turn a 13 line program into a 1Mb file, but you did so use winzip or winrar to make it smaller.
Fifth: I'd like to quote Mazer:
Mazer wrote:
Honestly! It clearly didn't take much effort for you to make, are you so impressed with yourself that you feel the urge to share it with the rest of us?

Trust me when I say this: the same program has been posted many times in countless yet ultimately pointless variations.

Please, when thinking of submitting a program, first perform the following check:
1) Run the program
2) Stare at the run window for at least 2 minutes
3) After this time, if you still think you'd ever want to watch that again, then post it (so long as it abides by any other rules)

I may add more to this at a later date.

From his stickied post Titled: Please DON'T post "omfg sooo trippy cool flashes!" found here: http://www.compsci.ca/v2/viewtopic.php?t=7734
Sixth: 100% of voters so far have called your program spam. That's not amazing in itself with only 2 voters...But you actually made a pole asking if this was spam! Guilty conscience?
"This isn't spam, really! But tell me if it is or not."
Seventh: [code] tags are your friends!

Turing 4.1 creates executables around that size by default.

Aside from what Wolf_Destiny said, it is quite pointless to post an executable if you are also posting the code since in reality only people with Turing are going to be running it anyway.

And finally... This:
code:
setscreen ("grpahics")

Should be spelled correctly:
code:
setscreen ("graphics")

lol i didnt notice that one when i read his code ROFL

anyways what does graphics do at all if you do not put a window size or anything? does it even do anything?

Nope, not unless it's one of the DOS versions of Turing. Since the Turing window is by default in graphics mode, the setscreen("graphics") does nothing (even when spelt correctly), and therefore should be removed.

SPAMMED!!!! Bro, why are you posting programs that u know aren't worthy of a post and that u know will not impress anyone and that u know can be made with little or no thought and that u know are completely pointless. Do u post every math test u get above 50% and hang it on ur fridge? Well that kinda goes with this... if it's not something we will go 'oooooo and ahhhhhhhhhh' then don't post it

Not that I encourage posting crap like this, especially after I'm fairly certain he was told that posting things like this would be frowned upon already; but at least he actually took the extra 0.1s to write real words.

Seriously, you must have failed english to think that writing like that is acceptable. Not only am I fairly certain he isn't your "Bro", but "you" isn't and has never been spelled "u" and your grammar is atrocious. I suggest reading some books, maybe going to english class next semester.

lmao md, ur such a joke!!! Have u ever used MSN messenger in your life, or were u the kid who didn't have ne1 to talk to so u just didn't bother? Well.. if u wana know why that is, I shall enlighten u. First, u must become familiar with 'internet chat language.' The letter 'u' is a short form of the word 'you.' The word 'bro' is a term similar in meaning to 'dude.' If u don't know the definition of that word, I would recommend checking out
http://www.dictionary.com/
In our modern day society, these terms are known as 'slang.' Well, hopefully that has helped u, and has made u understand y u have no friends. Maybe u can now get a pal on msn messenger and practice talking to them in 'slang.' Have fun!!! Very Happy

Good gravy, this has gone out of control. Is this what happens when I neglect to check this forum for a day or two?

WiiDS, your post is pure spam. I realize you're learning; it's great that you can make something that you're proud of. However, most of the members here have been programming for longer and don't consider this kind of program impressive at all. So please, keep writing these programs, but keep them on your computer, rather than spamming the forums with them. When you get better, you can submit some really good programs and people will admire you. Not yet, though, young padawan. Smile

xHoly-Divinity: we know full well what you're trying to say. It does make that much sense. However, you've got to admit that md does have a point. When I read what you type, every time I get to a "u" or a "y" it really stands out; it sticks on my mental tongue. Really, you just sound dumb in my mind when I'm reading "u" and "ur" all over the place. Continue to type like that if you wish, but know full well some of us will think less of you. Communicating well is a skill, and, to me, typing "u" and "ur" all the time suggests that skill is lacking.

md, I've got your back. Wink
(Please note I've taken no bias in this reply. The fact that I stated I've got md's back is just because I happened to take his side here [which is completely due to the fact that he is supporting coherent posting], not because I like md.)
