Alright.
I've been through the actionscript.org site. I've googled a few times, but I've yet to find a good resource to actually *teach* Actionscript 2, not just tips on making cool effects.
It's getting pretty damn annoying having to use obfusticated logic just to create a simple effect.
Any tips or volunteers?

Hah.
With something like that, I think it'd be best to just get a book. Or just look through other people's code and experiment. There aren't many good online resources. |

Had a bad experience with that once.
When I was little, I saw this 'Flash 5' book in the stores.
"Cool" I thought. Having experimented with flash 4 about 3 years earlier, I thought it would be time to brush up/develop some skills.
So, I saved my birthday money, I cut lawns, and I saved my allowance (I would have been ~11 at the time) I finally bought the book.
2 days later they released Flash MX.
