you separate the sentance into individual words first using something as index() to locate the spaces |

Have you read the string manipulation tutorial? I specifically showed how to search for a space (without using index). Using index, searching for a space becomes as easy as:
After you figure out what a word is, use a little string manipulation to bring the last letter to the front and go on to find the next word. |

For the second time, no! Read the tutorials, and do it yourself! ![]() When you post your code, we will help you. But you have to do the work for yourself. |

Good question. I suppose Tony wanted a sort of public execution. Like the gold old fashioned hangings, where the whole town comes out to cheer. Those were the days... Edit: Man, I love seeing these duck avatars in consecutive posts. It really shows how well we're taking compsci.ca over. If only we could get tony to use a duck avatar, we'd have four in a row. |

Yar! A hanging it shall be! It's actually kinda comical when people ask us to do their work for them... amazing how dumb people can be... wow... ducks of coolness! ![]() [edit] Tony so needs a devil-duck... |

It was all wtd's idea. Really! |
Author: | wtd [ Mon Nov 14, 2005 7:13 pm ] |

It wasn't! wtd is a shortening of my usual Welcome to Darwin, which is the welcome you get when you open Terminal.app in Mac OS X. Some chose to see is as "what the duck". ![]() |

It's so "what the duck"... because that rhyms with what I'm thinking when I read half of wtd's posts on O'caml, etc... ![]() [edit] Fixed... stupid typing faster then thinking... |

I agree, it looks quite strange. But once you get used to it, it is quite elegant. |

Too many ducks! Besides it makes everyone seem the same. How are you supposed to tell people apart if they use similar avatars? Names are way to hard to remember. |

Hah, blocking images from iloveduckies.com does wonders at improving the look of the forums...pity it doesn't work for all of them. edit: Is it possible to set firefox to block any image with the word duck in it? I'm not sure if wildcards work in the blocked sites list.... |
