Ugh. You can't use those as wallpapers! For one: they are quite butt ugly, and WAY too low resolution. Dodge, get your ass out of 1995 and post something around 1280x1024 at least. 
Having said that, good idea for a topic. Howerver, for space issues (taken up by decent sized pics), they should all be hosted elsewhere. Like this, my current wallpaper. |

now.. mines just a listtle too out there... bare asses.. and more.. so i cant post them.. and dodge.. bring ur pc to a higher res... then just right click on desktop... go to properties... then u can go to aperance and change the ICON SIZE, Icon TExt SIZE, Icon Text Color, fonts And MUCH MORE! hence ur parentys get big icons.. u get bigger res.. now i bet ur saying.. why didnt't i think of that? i dont know.. all window titles and text are bigger on mine... since i sit further from monitor (about 1.5 meters)... hah, well that's a consept image so no, game is not going to be like that 
btw - check out the *wide* version of same wallpaper on the site... its like 3200x1200 in size. I cropped and scaled that version to make a perfect fit for my widescreen display |

Here's a list of sites with desktop wallpapers. Ignore the artlebedev, we don't need any more assholes talking about optimus. Oh, fair warning, it seems that quite a few of those backgrounds were designed for jerks with ultra widescreen displays. And alot of them are photographs, not really my thing but whatever. |

This is my current background. The clown was shot by a friend of mine in the UK. I made it into a background by adding a black gradient fading to the picture on the right bottom corner, and adding the text. I like how simple it is with the large black area. He's a great artist.
