Is there an IM for linux that can communicate with MSN and the like?

speaking of which all the major multi im clients for mac run on libgaim.

whenever lookin for somethin for linux, sourceforge.org is usually the best place to check out... i usually use AMSN with linux for MSN chatting... the odd time i use gaim

Open source hackers tend to be more concerned with writing code that's cross-platform compatible than do coders who've grown comfortable serving a purely Windows market.
