HAHAH I just need to type this. BLEACH EPS 39 WAS INSANE.. BEST EPS YET! that was sick. Anyhow, who all watch Bleach and what are some other good animes to watch over this summer break?

"BS" as in Bleach Society? then yes.. I switched over to them because of their translation- they use the actual words ( i think ) at least it sounds more..jap But i hate their video it gets suck sometimes- except for this eps- perfect-- and the best eps yet......best.. i have to say.

I havn't gotten into Bleach - it just seems like another Shounen Jump clichÃ© to me. Don't get me wrong, I love most of SJ's clichÃ©'s, but I think 1 at a time is enough . Then again, I havn't watched Naruto since the filler's began, but that's only since I'm on limited bandwidth at home so I can't dl as much as I can on campus. So I'm occupying myself with Elfen Lied and Last Exile right now (only just started both). Recenlty finished Hagaren...the 27th approaches quickly! And Amailer, if you havn't seen Kenshin (TV), do your self a favour and see at least the first 2 seasons. You'll really like it, what with the slashing swords, and surmounting dialogue (damn Kenshin used to waffle on, and on, and on...)

It get really gay at times, but the cool parts are cool and make it all worth it. I've heard so many people talk about Ep 39, but stupid Lunar is taking their sweet time to release this ep because of the new ending theme. ...B4stards. I'm in no position to watch the RAW, it would ruin it for me, but alas, Lunar is my favourite translators, so I'll stick with them. Kenshin is old. I watched that at around the same time I was watching DragonBall GT. woah guys.. i've started this one its called "Monster"... SICK!!!! you have to watch it... i'm on episode # 4 right now... it could be better than FMA.. but it is too early to judge... anyways.. animation wise it rocks.. the storyline also seems to be pretty cool...

I don't follow the anime but I follow the manga, I think it progresses further? what happened in episode 39? Let me guess, the Ichigo vs Captain of the 13th team? Now go watch Samurai Champloo!!!!!!!! Or actually, watch Yakitate Japan, it's a manga/anime that's about the world of bread baking. (Yes, I said bread baking. No, it does not suck)

yes it is stupid... there's nothing twisted about such an ending... you cannot kill the main character in a series... it's stupid.. same goes with naruto... trying to put Naruto into a dangerous situation ruins the whole episode cuz the suspense is simply not the same... i mean we all know the anime does not end so early. but now look at FMA... that was ingeniously done.. the author was not stupid to try and suggestl Al or Ed dead, anytime too early. instead he killed one of the most loved supporting characters. That was brilliant! (in comparison anyways) And very much successful! PS: i believe ichigo will turn into that semi-hollow again.. hmm

I want to see a series advertise it's x-episodes long, and build it as such, but during the middle of the arc, the main character dies and the mission is a failure. That would be such a plot twist, would it not?

Then there'd be a new main character, or you'd realize that that wasn't even the main character, and the rest of the series would continue with that character. Methinks you might want to look into Basilisk...from what I've heard, people who look like main characters drop left, right, and centre! Naturally, such a series would be less character driven as plot driven. Not usually the norm in animÃ©. Dammit rizzix! [sob]Maes!!![sob]

Thats like Stargate SG-1... Althougth the main character (not really the MAIN character, but one of the main characters) is now kicked out in Season 9 and a new character is come on who the whole season 9 is mainly focused on.. HOW BS.... -.- Anyhow, I managed to dl the torrents (2 of them) Rurouni Kenshin - 11-20 [B-A].torrent Rurouni Kenshin - 91-95 [B-A].torrent And I can't get the rest to get dled... but before I start these torrents... does anyone know if these subs from B-A are in english....? It happned to me 10x for other animes... I dled the anime with some french or german sub titles X!@#!@!@ so anoying. If you do know- tell me where I can download good torrents so the anime dls quickly... hard to find this anime... it was made in what.. 1999?

Methinks those are the Baka-animÃ© encodes. Generally pretty good, and yes in English. If you're looking for the full series, as mentioned before, head on to Box Torrents. Currently they've only got S3 and S4 up, since S1 and S2 are being re-added...

Mine are from a4e. They're alright, IMO, but dual audio so it's a bit bigger download (almost twice the size as regular subbed anime episodes). I picked it because it was there and had a decent amount of seeds.

It would make sense. Though they had clips showing Ed's auto-mail arm, and in scenes that would suggest more than just a flashback. You mention "last summer's trailer"... is this a different trailer? I'd never heard of a FMA movie before.

You've NEVER heard of it before! Dude, where have you been living? It's been hyped up for...MONTHS! Sorry, I get a little excited when I think about it. Anyhow, it takes place right after the series ends. As for Champloo, how many times have I told you to check out Box? It's got the most seeders right now . Anyhow, the DVDs are rolling out pretty nicely. Funny thing, Champloo, it had no popularity at all in Japan - but when it comes to NA it rocks the boat. Methinks that was purposeful.

Advent Children? I heard Squaresoft (or is it Square Enix?) is waiting until enough fan-boys and -girls stick an animated .gif of the Sephiroth vs Cloud scene in their sigs so that no matter what forum you go to any page you view will overload the intertron and cause a massive crash so that they'll have an excuse as to why it's taking so long. EDIT: No, wait! What I meant to say was that on their way to publish it they got stuck in so many random encounters that they forgot what they were originally supposed to do, zing ^^

FMA was awesome but I never gotten around to finish it (and my brother losing all the eps after 12 doesn't help either) Prince of Tennis is great but after 100 eps it just gets repetive (yet I can't stop watching it) Eyeshield 21 looks good so far, Bleach is amazing all the way, Naruto is getting boring currently, Rorouni Kenshin was good up to a certain point, Gokusen is funny as hell, Yakikate Japan is funny! (an anime about making bread XD) Tsubasa Chronicles is touching, Fruit basket is cute! Bible black is just hentai >.> <.< Chobits is just seducive, sprial is great, Gundam seed and seed destiny is interesting (cept I want to kill the fake lacus) Onegai teacher and Twins is pretty good Negima is very entertaining Love hina is great for fan service Kodocha is old but really random Hikaru no Go is able to get you hook on go for strange reasons Ikkitousen is MAJOR fanservice Beck is sex! (not literally) okay I have more in my mind rite now but I think that's alrite for now rite? or should I carry on in another post? edit: Well Initial D is pretty good but the Live action got me mad

It may just be my inability to wait a week for a new episode but Tsubasa Chronicle is starting to get a little boring, I think. Kurogane vs Mokona is too overdone and really pisses me off. And the rest is pretty repetitive too. Still watching though... Monster looks pretty cool so far.

FMA movie comes out this month, on the 23rd. Naruto movie 2 comes out next month, probably around the 6th or so. Monster, the live action movie (Hollywood production) has started production a few weeks ago. For all the animÃ© and manga fans, it should be something to look forward to. From what I hear, the guy doing it has a good repuation amongst otaku. Advent Children comes out in September. That makes we want to dig up those trailers I have lying around and watch them again! And Aoi, it's "Black Bible" dammit! Creepy, violent stuff that. Well, it doesn't quite compare to Elfen Lied though. Now that is violent.

brenn, Initial D doesn't end like that. That's the, er, 3rd stage? I think so. The movie takes care of some things. And I've only recently started watching the 4th stage, and it doesn't seem to play much on their relationship thus far. Although they do flash between Takumi and Natsuki, the only connection so far is that her new BF is going to race against Takumi's team. But I haven't gotten that far yet. My point? Oh, yeah... Coutsos. That's not how it ends. Restart Azureus.

oh hell.. Tsubasa Chronicle is soo stupid.. gee. i hate these romance/action animes.. they are just overdone.. Naruto fillers are not so great.. Bleach > Naruto, only cuz it has less fillers, otherwise,, Naruto has a very entertaining storyline. Bleach is really such a plain anime,, i mean there's not much suspense or mystery to it... pfft maybe its just me.. although i believe Monster is to be blamed for this... Speaking of which, that anime is really cool so far (watched 10 episodes to date).. hmm... i'm running out of space. around 5 gigs remaining.. damnit!!

The only reason I might consider watching Tsubasa is because Yuki Kajiura does the music. Or maybe I'll just check out the OST . As for Naruto, well...I stopped watching at the beginning of summer. When I get back on Rez I'll start again. I hadn't really liked where he was taking things - and Sasuke Level 2 looked far too feminine for my liking...but I've always admired the scope and storytelling of Naruto so I doubt I'll stop watching it now. Unless, of course, they start rolling out Naruto GT...[sigh]. Now, what I want to know is if Shounen Jump is going to continue its winning streak and get DeathNote animated. I've read up to chapter 60ish (chapters are a lot less frequently scanlated now), and wow!, talk about masterfully crafted suspense. I'm not sure if it would render well as an animÃ© though - a lot of talk in it. rizzix, time to powerup that DVD burner! Or at least get one to power up. Oh yeah, Ebichu > all.

maybe it's just me being a huge CCS fan that I like Tsubasa XD oh well ya I didn't like the fact that it was rushed! and the fact that they squished characters into one character pissed me off!!!! though jay crying is just hot! (it's just the weird fact that I like to see a guy cry cuz it's like they are letting you in on something >.<) edit: but them being a cry baby is a different thing!

Lunar, IMO, is best. Best sound, best encoding, best translations. But I can take a little bitrate penalty in order to get it earlier. At least these episodes. I needed my fix. Sadly, it's all filler, no killer. I'll probably wait for Lunar's next week. Nothing exciting seems to be going on.

I read a one-shot of Blame once...it was...umm...different. I think the manga-ka was attempting to be existential in his own werid little way, but it didn't quite work. Perhaps if I read more...which I won't.

Seeing as I don't watch Bleach (yet) I just found it funny that a huge troupe of people ganged up on the BS tracker, only to have Lunar release their [better qualitiy] sub a few hours later... Is Bleach worth investing the time into?

Right now I'd say not really. I liked it more in the beginning, but now it seems to be boiling down to the old 1 fight per episode thing (except for the fights that last for two episodes...). Monster, on the other hand (as rizzix recommended already) is incredible.

Eh, Why do Animes have to have so much comic relief in them? Some parts of ep 41 are just plain cool, only to be ruined by something like "OMFG! YOU DOODOO HEAD! -_-;;" -- "Hehehe ^_^'' " -- " \|-D", etc.

If they didn't, then they'd have to have more fan service instead. That or [gasp] actually advance the plot line! But seriously, you'll find it in a lot of animÃ© simply because there are usually stock characters that have very, well, let's say ouvert personalities. And more often than not, those around them have conflicting personalities/habits that lead to said situations. Mmmm...fan service...

It has none of what you describe, incredible animation and consistent plot... anybody know how Monster would be categorized as anime? Aside from the fact that they're speaking Japanese, I think I could actually get my brother to watch this.

No... Monster is not ordinary. It is a Masterpiece! The plot is absoloutly brilliant! The animation is beyond comparison. Eww.. I mean... I dont know how i still watch Naruto.. ehm... I guess its cuz now that i know whts going on, its that feeling you know.. the feeling to just keep watching.. just cuz it is not so bad, although it is not all that great.

I haven't watched Naruto all summer. Well, at least since the filler started. Sometimes, when I hear the theme music playing on Winamp, I get sentimental. I'm just really, really looking forward to Kakashi-gaidan. That's going to be, um, fun. Apparently ViZ is released 2 batches of DVDs - cut and uncut, March and July respectively. "13-episode blocks" is what they say...which I'm hoping means 13 eps/DVD. Unlike our good friend Inu Yasha that's still at 4 eps/DVD. Volume 31 recently came out...and they were up to about ep. 80. [sigh]. If you want phenomenal plots, then look no further than Death Note. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Death Note is the most addictive manga in existence. I wonder if they'll animate it any time soon. I stopped reading at chapter 60ish since the releases have become too damn slow since then. Ah well. Perhaps if and when the 2nd arc finishes.

From my experience with Bleach it is rather cyclic... there is the set up for the fight, fight, aftermath and then switch to another character's story. I enjoy all the episodes with Ichigo/Ruchia in them, but the ones with Chad and Orihime are rather boring/superfluous. Besides that the "to be continued" at the end of nearly every episode is really annoying... almost makes me want to wait a year and watch them all at once. I can't really state the rest of the problems I have with the series without giving away major plot details, so I'll just mutter them to myself... Btw, where are you "acquiring" Bleach from, since I got Episode 44 two days ago?
