as i typed, i missed the last x of the url for compsci (compsci.ca/mx)

i was expecting a page that said "/m does not exist on this server", and i got it, and a little more

i searched for a reference to "llama" but found no referece... could it be that i'm the first to notice this.... easter egg?

No, I noticed this about 3 or 4 days ago, I think they only added it recently since I don't remember anything like that before. Probably someone fooling around with the site (Tony? Smile).

o.O ha... yeah....stupud llama eh? Rolling Eyes
Dan added that while he was fixing the site i believe

my guess is that dan is behind this, due to the distinctive spelling and grammar.

Laughing I should've known...

Is it just me or does the "go back" not go anywhere?

Oh no they are on to our llamas!

The go back buttion gose to the redirect url. If you type in the link it will go no where if u are linked to the page from another page it will go back to that page.

There are more eggs on the site then this one but i like this one the best:

llama, llama, duck!

i have the "autositemap" extension... i turned it loose at compsci, and it found a dir full of martin's stuff, including his resume.

not quite an easter egg, but interesting nonetheless.

EDIT:

it appears that there are pages for Dan, Tony and Aoi as well, although Tony and Aoi's don't have anything really..

This is where i put on my foil hat and hide.
But, if these weren't supposed to be seen, they would be passworded or something.... right?

BTW I didn't do a forensic examination of these dirs... i just noted their existance, really.

I found this awhile back.

Look familiar Dan?
Incidentally, the Llama loop doesn't quite make Badger standards. When it repeats, there's a bit of delay - i.e., a pretty badly made bridge. That would be the only place where Badger betters it.

If you run Badger for 11 minutes straight, it desyncs so that it says, "Ah Snake! Ah Snake!" when it's flashing the "Mushroom!".

After 36 minutes it resyncs back to the original frames.
Don't ask me how I know that.

Speaking of easter eggs... *goes on a long adventure of finding the secrets of compsci*

*Some minutes later...*

Well, not sure if this is an easter egg, but this is the first thing I found while browsing the comics page Smile.
http://www.compsci.ca/comic/images/

It seems Dan has really been Nad all this time!!
http://www.compsci.ca/comic/nad_icon.jpg

*Continue searching*

Hmm, it seems compsci email, email.compsci.ca is hosted with cpanel hosting?

*Another short while passes...*

Hmm, it seems compsci has an unannounced "users browsing" feature! Or else I just never realized it lol. That would be:
http://www.compsci.ca/v2/viewonline.php

Also, I didn't notice the http://www.compsci.ca/mx/modules/mx_statistics/mx_statistics.php stats page before, just goes to show the things I can ignore...

Well, the search must end, for now...

[Note - nothing evil was done in the making of this post]

I wanted to see if I could do something like that, but once I got to the hair I kinda got lazy and weant, "screw it". This is what I got up to though. Laughing

Ok, more easter egg hunting!!

Well, first I tried things that other forums would have too, and I found the point control panel Smile.
http://www.compsci.ca/v2/pointscp.php

Hmm, tony and dan's avatars are still on the old file system for some reason? Look in the location, they're both in /bbs not /v2.

*A little while of searching...*

Outcasted smilies, or yet to be added?

I may be wrong, don't really remember, but wasn't that "Hydrogen Economics" somewhere in the "Compsci Comic"?

Not really easter eggs... Some of those links are already posted on this forum (i.e. check the sticky in this forum "bits").

Those pencil drawings are of tonys and their on his um... deviantart I believe.

Sigh... I know, but am I supposed to know where every file on the site was posted? Still, I don't think those smilies are anywhere, right?

Oh, and I don't see what you mean me to see in the "Bits System" sticky, there's not much there...

Yeah, that's it. Back from the ancient days of... holly crap, end of 2002!

3D, Illustrator, Flash and Photography gallery -- from the times when Tony (that's me) hurt his head badly and the brain activity was taken over by the "gaspu" artistic side.

And yes, Hydrogen Economy (which turned out to be an uneducated joke) had to do with my Econ essay assignment, and was mentioned in the comic.

BTW, some people are prompting me to restart the project. If you guys are interested -- let me know.

Those things you found are interesting Gandalf, but amalier said, I don't really think they're 'easter eggs'. I found where Dan stores all of his images and whatnot, and there's some interesting things there, but I wouldn't really put them under that category. However tho, Tony's
"my ENGINEERING network
under development "

Site may bring interesting things. Thinking

And so mite Dan's V3.1 DB Model

Thats why I didn't post a link, and why I copied the image to my comp and posted it that way. Wouldn't be a bad idea tho Wink .

Exactly why I left that part of my findings to myself, I didn't really look through the files, just explored the folders Smile.

Two of them are, the rest are not. I just forgot about the two that actually are in the expanded smilies tab.
