Hey, does anyone know any software that prevent ur pc from communicating with the outside world by itself? ie. Programs sending information to the internet. i dont need an adware tool, but something that will block all packets without my expressed permission. So for example if windows decides it wants to talk to microsoft about what kind of programs i'm running then I would like to "put a handkerchief over Window's mouth" (or any other program). Thank you |

Couldn't you just use a firewall? |

I use sygate personal firewall. I frequently see various windows applications trying to broadcast, and deny them. |

i had zonealarm a while back... it would always be bugging me for permission... I haven't looked too closely at the winXP firewall, but it might have something like what you're looking for. |
