Absolutely hilarious coming from Microsoft, but nontheless something interesting that would be probably worth following. http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/2005-05-01-microsoft-cars_x.htm

"Your car is out of gas. Please close all of your open Windows (tm), turn off the car, wait three seconds and then turn the car on again. If you would like to report this error code 0x2837165 to Microsoft, please press the recline button located on the side of your seat."

Perhaps they should... you know... actually work on building a decent operating system before they start working on cars.

They already have the best OS out there. I mean, if I was given the choice to own any OS company, I'd (and anyone else who wasn't dropped as a child) would choose Microsoft without even thinking about it.

Oh wait, you mean quality...right...

A hint: hit the quote button and read it in the textarea.

Strange... when i zoom out with the mouse wheel everything gets smaller while the small text gets bigger... Rolling Eyes

what browser are you using?

haha, it's true. Firefox.

It just gets to a point where its too small, so it becomes big again.

i use ie, so it doesn't work for me

WHAT?!?!?! IE??
Sorry, excuse the caps, but why would you want to use IE (assuming you're on your home computer with administrative priviledges)? I find it too easily exploited. And it doesn't have the cool dictionary lookup extension.
Not to mention that FireFox simply sounds cooler.

Blowing up <--this smiley reminded me of Internet Explorer.

that's true but i don't have admin rights to this machine.

Lyam_, you don't have to tell anyone here that. Everyone already knows how much better IE is (at least on this site), and if they don't, they can just type: "FireFox" in the Search menu. Go ahead, try it. Laughing

IE..better? Maybe for seeing the nickname effects, but that's about it.
A search for FireFox brought up this poll though:

Yeah, IE is so much better. Just look at the evidence:

  • Internet Explorer is integrated into the Operating System for maximum compatability
  • It's built by a large corporation that knows what it's doing. Not some renegade armada or loose programmers that just want attention
  • If your site doesn't render in IE, it's because you just don't know how to make your website cross-compatible with all browsers
  • ActiveX is so much cooler for creating web-based applications than any other "OSS" alternative out there. And with Microsoft's constant release of security patches and updates, you know you're secure.
FireFox has what, "Tabbed browsing"? Psh, polls endorsed by Microsoft say the user's don't ask for tabbed browsing anyways. It's not a necessary feature. So there! IE is better! Long live IE! Boo FireFox!

If you haven't figured it out yet, let me give you a little help to get you going: It was a typo. Firefox is obviously better.

Wow, I never heard anyone put it like that before. Well I don't think I'll be using FireFox anymore. I wonder what other amazing software I can find from Microsoft...

Yes, I read the small print.

OMG, IE Rox!

Look, I can do it too!

It was fairly clear from what he said after the typo that he doesn't think that IE is better...

Also, there are quite a bit more FIrefox/IE topics out there. Now all we need is a way to make people stop using Windows Media Player 11392, wait, Microsoft did it themselves! just use WMP 6.4 or Media Player Classic Very Happy. Older versions of programs do own... Just look at WMP and Winamp.

Wow, we all know how to use small print, but wait!

You can have even smaller font!! WOW!

It actually makes people read your posts more if you put everything in small font! Proof? You reading this.

Post subject:

how do you make it so small? Confused

Author:  [Gandalf] [ Wed Jun 01, 2005 5:28 pm ]
Post subject:

code:
[size=1]Put the Text Here[/size]

That's the simplest way.

If you can read this then that's good. To make text which nobody will notice most likely change the colour too!

Yeah, I highly recommend MS-Office 2003 over that shitty "<a href="http://www.openoffice.org/">OpenOffice.org</a>"; it's useless.
Hurray for uber small print!

Ya I did some really small print in my last post before this, and quite hard to notice too! Very Happy

Author:  [Gandalf] [ Wed Jun 01, 2005 9:31 pm ]
Post subject:

Indeed, because it's in the white quote box.

But why does it make it stand out for you? You have some sort of *see small print for continuation Very Happy*

It's quite funny though, since Open Office is in many ways a crappy immitation of Microsoft Word.

Heh, Open Office owns, much better, and free, than Word

...You have some sort of crazy inverto-xray-weird vision?

Hurray for ultra spamming using micro colour font!

Lol, the white just draws my attention to it. As for the 'crazy inverto-xray-weird vision', no I don't have that to my knowledge... but you never know!

Surprised I have crazy inverto-xray-weird vision!! But...how did YOU know that?

Borg

Wow we've really gotten off topic here...

EDIT:
oh wait, I guess we haven't. It's still kind of about Microsoft...

HOW ABOUT WE DO THE MICROSOFT THING TO DO AND POST ALL IN BIG FONT AND CAPS BETTER YET, ITALICS AND BOLDS TOO!

Never again do that!

Microsoft only knows how to block out all other companies superior creations, but yet they don't even know how to do that effectively. Their cars will look for posts to crash into!

EDIT- it's all these dang spammers, Im forced to revert to using bolditaliclargesizefontANDBETTERYETINCAPS.

Dang, that too me awhile to get right.

Surprised
