I've been a little bored the last week, what with studying for finals and all. Honestly, so much stress. Too much stress. So I made this. Funny, it's the first fully functional programme I've made in a long time. Ok, basic premise. Dodge 'asteroids' and catch 'stars'. Last as long as you can. Please read the ReadMe before you play. Have fun. - Delos |

Pretty good! I like how its all Turing and no bmps. The only thing that was wrong with it was the screen limits were a little tall, and yeah it was a little hard to focus, but oh well. It was good though, keep it up. I guess the next edition to the game would be other levels and an opposing AI. |

Pretty cool, as soon as I figured out that you weren't supposed to hit the boxes (asteroids) too ![]() One suggestion, the high score list (if thats what it is?) or something blink REALLY fast at the end of the game, so you cnat see it... |

@jamonathin What do you mean the 'screen limits were a little tall'? @[Gandalf] Did you read the ReadMe? ![]() As for the 'high scores list', I've updated the proggie...it seems that I selected "close run window on exit" when compiling... |

It was just your setscreen limits. All the comps I go on, the pixel height isn't too large, and I just didn't know what was goin on at first, but then i saw that the screen (y-axis) was too tall. It's nothing to worry about. ![]() |

Very nice Delos. Nice, polished game. I like the idea of bullets going off at random angles. I'd play it again, but I don't want to over do it on my eyes. I really wish the asteroids didn't flash! +25 BITS |

[grins] Now, where would the fun be in that? Keep in mind that if you shoot the asteroids, they stop flashing....hehehe. Post up your highscores. |

There's nothin wrong with the stars, i think it's a pretty nice effect, and headache free. Try getting some prescription glasses. |

Negative score...nice one there... ![]() Each time you start the game you get 1 of 3 possible openings. They all start the same: 3...2...1... followed by - Go! (Generic opening...nothing interesting) - GO!!! (The name of the 4th OP of Naruto...yes, it does have 3 exclamation marks in the name...[sigh].) - Let's Jam... (A reference to the opening lines of the OP of Bebop) |

![]() Just played, very good ![]() I only played to 100 seconds and I started tripping out and decided to stop ![]() What about the source code? You want to see it? Believe me, there's nothing amazing in it. The only areas of finesse that I can think of were constructed for the possibility of having a variable number of bullets on screen at a time. Basically, array elements were attached to boolean flags that dictated their activity, or lack thereof. If the case existed where all were active, but a call was still present, a new element was created, until a limit was reached. This method saved time in having to resort the array each run to designate activity. Yeah...it looked cool in debug mode, where the activity in each element was visualized ![]() [edit] Btw: Score: 19324 Time: 178.489 seconds Stars: 381 Stars destroyed: 3 |
