Well, based on the dock at the bottom and the window skin, it's obvious you're using a Mac. But at the top it looks like a Windows interface, the window buttons (close, maximize and minimize) are on the right instead of the left (a Windows characteristic), and some of the applications in the dock (like mIRC and WinAmp), are Windows-only. So what did you do? |

No it's a Mac. Of course, she's added some kind of emulator, most likely Virtual PC to run Windows on top of it. Now, I was a little confused, because I thought Virtual PC allowed you to run Windows, DOS or some Windows alternative (Red Hat Linux, Sun Solaris, etc) that would only be compatible with PC's in a separate window. But here she has the Windows interface working in the same environment as Mac OS. |

I am pretty sure that is windows or linux (proboly windows). head over the the gallersy forum and u can see what some ppl have done with there desktops in the sticky at the top of the forum. and if u r fortunate enough to have the $$$ to own a mac, why the hell would u make a beutiful machine like that look windowsish??? 
EDIT: and based on the URL in the bottom right section of the desktop I would say it is just a skin  |

dumbas5, that "skins.be" is a URL for the wallpaper. C'mon man, where's your intuative nature. Did you bother typing it in your browser to see what you got? It's a wallpapers site. Either way, since you all seem to be so perplexed with what OS I'm using. I'll just sit here and laugh at you all a little more, until I get bored.  Then, I'll still leave it up to you to guess what OS it is.

well it is evident from the photo posted on another thread in this site that templest is obviously a he. And FYI some skinning packs come with preloaded walpaper, so I thought it might be part of the skin, and I did not check the URL as I was at skool, and my teacher was just comming around the corner. |

Either way, I really doubt that bottom dock is would be included in a Longhorn Transformation pack, since longhorn doesn't include one of these, and hence, it would be pretty useless to put one in there to begin with. |

Why does having a junior bar make it automatically a mac ...... Really people , come one THE BUTTONS ARE ON HTE WRONG SIDE.... and who hte hell buys a mac TO PUT WINDOWS ON IT ............... did anyone think before posting WindowBlinds , ObjectX , ObjectDesktop , Spherical Desk , Style XP all these things can accomplish your " cool " loooks But if you want true good looks, try out some Kde or Gnome applets or learn some XML editing A few of us here including myself have some very very unique and Sexy Desktops .... Imitatiing other operating systems has always been lame and takes valuable resouces , ( especially when running a laptop ) If anyone would like info on modding there TopDesk

Hey, my desktop isn't made to imitate ANY OS! Does it honestly look like anything? And so what if I have a dock on the bottom of the page? Did you ever concider the fact that it's there to organize the desktop? I'd much rather have high resolution, slick icons, lined up on the bottom of the screen, than haveing 30+ low-res, 64x64 icons all over the place. Last time I check, my box doesn't look like anything. It's not my fault you're too much of a goof to think it looks like something it's not. |

I was sohwing how it is Windows and my points about mimicing were not aimed at you , i like your design.... my point is that People use these to look good ( who you showing off too ??? ) they waste resources , power , Processing time and Refresh rates A good one is like templests where its not messy its not overboard and its neat and tidy...  |

Alright, I'll just go with my strongest guess and assume it's Mac OS X with Virtual PC running Windows, configured to allow it to run in the same environment instead of a separate window.Either way, since you all seem to be so perplexed with what OS I'm using. I'll just sit here and laugh at you all a little more, until I get bored. Then, I'll still leave it up to you to guess what OS it is.

templest is clearly Avril Lavigne. For all of my skinning, I use an excellent program called Smiley Central. http://www.smileycentral.com/ It's great, and best of all, it's free! I also find that porn dialers are an excellent addition to the collection. It's got porn in the word, it HAS to be good! |
