Is it just me or are there a shitload of websites down right now? I can't connect to messenger or even to sourceforge to try another client...

Tried restarting the computer. Nothing.
Tried restarting the modem and router (several times). Nothing.
Switched network cards, everything seems fine. Yet that made no sense whatsoever. I could connect to compsci and google and a few other places, but not much more. And it wasn't just old crap from the browser cache, I was actually connected.

Yes... it has happened to me b4. Especially that time where all the sites with servers based on the other side of the atlantic couldn't be viewed by all users with an IP starting with 69, I was one of them. But it fixes itself in a while. Though if u call tech support, they'll lead u thru the routine of deleting all offline content etc...

It could have been that the pages you were visiting were cached.

Pages can be cached even if you are connected.

I meant that I could go to google and do a search (on something that I haven't already done a search for) and still get results. Or how I could go to GMail and login, and send email. But my GMail notifier doesn't seem to work anymore. It says logging in but doesn't do anything.
