gmail seems to be giving out alot of invites to every one right now, i am beting they are coming close to the real realses date. that or they are just going to give out invites till every one has one

Ah well. Anyone know if there's a way to set it so gmail displays advanced message headers? At least that's what it's called in hotmail. So that you can see the IP address that the msg ordiginated from.

8 emails ... 7mb each.. all with same reply subject so they stick together it was a wicked mix cd that i have.. and its cd is getting too scratched etc to read properly.. so i ripped with Winamp 5 (PRO) .. and stored on there for safe keeping until i get new comp with cd burner to reburn it o.. btw.. i dont know the names of artist or song names of most of those songs.. so tahts why i cant just download them again..

My guess is that Amailer already "sent" out the invitations just so that he could provide you guys with links. I think you can go there and just change the information as necessary.

yea... if u want to see the acuall codes urself u just send the invits to urself then hand out the codes to ur friends.. easier that way... cuz hotmail, yahoo, and others sometimes bounce back gmail invits... buyt if u get a email from friend.. it wont bounce.. anyways.. yea just change them around like mazer said...

I just noticed this: http://www.yousendit.com Has anyone here used it? You know how google caps your sends at 30MBs? Well, with this byatch you can send files up to 1 GB right from the site. Good way to back-up those DivX's. I might just keep all the invites for myself, hell, that'd be 8 GBs of online storage, like, wow.

I don't know, that's why I asked if anyone else has tried this. But if it does work, that means I can finally back-up those huge files that I need to store when reinstalling the OS. No more wasteful burning of back-up CDs. Zip everything I want in a folder, upload, done.

Here's my take on their marketing scheme: Make the service by invitation only, making the few proud, and the others sad. Left out, and whoever gains entrance is automatically cool. Like, when the bouncer actually finds your name on the entrance list to a night club. Give it time, soon, everyone will have an account, but the service won't lose it's niche, because it's still by invitation only, so people still feel special. Cut the e-mail giving some "Total Cost of Service" being too high crap. Wait... Start-up Gmail again with paid accounts and massive upgrades to service (10GB storage?) ... ... Profit!

I think the fact they gave the 1st ones out to poleop who had bolgs may have been part of the sceem. I mean if u give them to the blogers then they will talk about it, then give them invites to give out to polep and u get the talking about it even more. Bascilky they are taping in to a meaid that is hard to get adds in b/c it is truly contorled by the peoleop for the poleop like most of the good things on the net. Idk if this is bad or good tho, but i guse poleop whould not talk about it if it was not good

and hotmail offers douyble gmail (2gig inbox, 20 max attachment) for like 30 a month.... granted hotmail has some benefits... like ... like.... like.... hahahah... all gmail is missing is the emotions! < but they will add them soon enuf im shure.. yea.... also gmail has the advantage of having ltos of fresh names.. so ppl with shitass names like blah2341231_1231231f@hotmail.com ... can just go blah@gmail.com .... and since the noobish dumbasses wont use gmail... saves lots of good names for us leets... yea... upgrading ur service to 10gi and allowing 100mb attachments would rock..... id pay for that..

i do not like the hole simles thing, it means one of 2 things. 1. they will only work on gmail e-mail acounts and look messed up to every one eltes or 2. they will be HTML e-mails and i hate HTML e-mails. I think e-mail is ment to be simple and not have animated crap sound playing and pics. Thats what a web page is for. Also alot of poleop have html disabled on there e-mail b/c it is how alot of spam comapnes know u are see it or how some poleop can expolite stuff. Poleop just tend to use the simles on hotmail too much, i mean it is ok every now and then to get a html e-mail with some crazy stuff but every singal one they send you and is that 2gb hotmail pay? b/c if it is i whould rather buy some web space that comes with umlited e-mail acounts, then u can have w/e name u whont, web space and probly more bandwith and space. And alot less M$ :p Athougth i am very bisased agested M$

There is a big diff between having a rank image and having the power the gose with it... ok..... . yea.. we have some naming issues.. personally i dont really think its good having every1 changing their na,mes... unles under that name soeone writes 'my old name was'... since a lot of posts refer to someone .. ie mazer... and wont eb able to find him if they dont keep up with the board..... like.... 'Go get 'Mazer's Evasive manuvers game..." or something... i just used mazer cuz it confused me at frst who it was... untill i read his location...
